Print #205: Birch
I discovered this birch near the driveway of a golf course in Connemara, Ireland, in 1999. The strangely twisted branches and the nearly white bark before the dark background immediately made the picture appear in my mind. As the unusual form of the tree indicates heavy winds are blowing there most of the year. Not before one year later I managed to get a sharp negative.
